Source priorities
We prefer government standards and regulations, recognized standards organizations, manufacturer technical data for that manufacturer’s own product, and direct calculations from defined units. We distinguish a source-backed fact from an editorial rule of thumb.
Product and material claims
Material families such as PE and PVC include many constructions. We avoid universal lifespan, waterproof, UV, strength, and temperature claims unless the conditions and test basis are defined. We do not treat “heavy duty” as a grade.
Safety boundaries
